Volunteer with Gather
The Role of Volunteers
Volunteers have been at the heart of Gather since our founding in 1816. Today, hundreds of community members lend their time and skills each month to help ensure that healthy food reaches neighbors across the Greater Seacoast.
Sorting fresh food donations and stocking items for the Pantry Market
Setting up Mobile Markets in various locations across the region
Loading trucks and assisting in the Warehouse
Picking up donations from Community Partners
Gardening and Farm Gleaning
Assisting with Food Drives and other Events
Each of these roles plays an important part in helping Gather provide food to those in need while reducing waste and strengthening our community.
Through its core programs, Gather serves more than 10,000 Seacoast residents each month, distributes over a million pounds of food each year and distributes food to approximately 500 children each week when school is out of session.
