Christer lives in Portsmouth with his wife Laurie. They have three adult children. They are both very passionate about the mission of Gather, both volunteering their time to help. Christer is a professional Civil Engineer and has spent his career working in the transportation field, holding the positions of Chief Executive and Chief Marketing Officer. An ardent believer in people and the power of teamwork, he led a messaging campaign that brought the purpose of the company to a level that was easily comprehended and helped them grow to nearly 2,000 employees.

Christer loves Portsmouth and all the seacoast has to offer; he and his wife are also supporters of the Music Hall, Prescott Park Arts Festival, and Strawbery Banke. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, including their two dogs, either walking around town or exploring on their boat. He also enjoys travel, dining, live music, skiing and sports/competition in general.
