Fill the Hall

It’s the fifth year of the collaboration between The Music Hall and Gather for the Fill the Hall Food Drive on Saturday, June 22.

Join us as we challenge the community to fill every seat in the Historic Theater with bags of food for Gather and the Summer Meals 4 Kids program during the fourth annual Fill The Hall Food Drive.

For 200 years Gather has provided emergency food aid, personal care products, and education for healthy living to Seacoast residents. Fill the Hall benefits their Summer Meals 4 Kids program, helping to fill the gap when subsidized school meals are not available. They provide 10 meals a week for over 900 children on the Seacoast (from Rochester to Seabrook) for the 11 weeks of summer. It takes more than 12 tons of food to do this. We want to get it donated in one day and we need your help.

Join us on Saturday, June 22 from 9am to 3pm to Fill The Hall with food or a monetary gift to help the people in our community who need it the most. Coordinators are looking for community organizations, businesses, and residents to do food drives within their groups, workplaces, and neighborhoods to help fill all 900 seats.

Donors who don’t want to park can drop bags off with volunteers who will be outside The Music Hall entrance at 28 Chestnut Street. Those who do come in will be encouraged to take a selfie on the historic stage and share their good work with their social networks.

Needed items include
soup (not condensed)
six-packs of raisins
canned fruits and vegetables
tuna and other canned protein
granola bars
baked beans
low sugar cereals
Small containers of olive oil, ketchup, mayo, and mustard
Household items such as toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, and baby food.
